IRS hangs up on 8.8 million callers

The recent annual report from the taxpayer advocate to congress states that IRS hung up on 8.8 million callers seeking assistance during the tax filing season. If you are one of those frustrated taxpayers who couldn’t get through, I’m sure you will be pleased to know that the IRS uses the term “courtesy disconnect” to refer to your call. Doesn’t it feel good to know that they didn’t just hang up on you?
